Do You Hire Professional Photographers? I'd like to share with you some examples of homes photographed by REALTORS® and also by a professional photographer. These are not exaggerated examples for effect. Both of these homes were previously listed and expired. When I took over each listing, I had the homes photographed by a professional photographer, who also put together the virtual tour. The cost for the total package for each was less than the cost to run a photo ad in the local newspaper for two days.

Make Every Pixel Count! IN real estate, a picture can be worth more than a thousand words. Much, much more. When selling properties online, agents and Web designers say that the pictures buyers see of houses and apartments for sale are often the first — and sometimes the only — chance for a seller to make a good impression. Less-than-flattering pictures can turn buyers off and lead to lonely open houses.

Why good houses don't sell When a house doesn’t sell as quickly as expected, it’s easy (for the owner anyway) to lay the blame on a soft real estate market, or a lousy selling season. After all, neither of those things are the seller’s faults, nor under the seller’s control. The fact is, though, that 90% of the time when a house doesn’t sell quickly, it’s due to problems that are within the control of the home’s owner. And that’s good news. It means that they’re fixable - and once they’re fixed, the house should sell quickly.

In real estate, picture's worth a potential sale "You've got that one chance to make your first impression," she said.
Since more than three-quarters of potential buyers turn to the Web first when they start house hunting, that first impression today is often made with the click of a mouse. A photograph can determine whether a potential buyer wants to see a home or not.
"When your photos are really good on the Web, it really attracts them in," said Patricia Choi, president and principal broker of Choi International of Honolulu.

Sell Your Home — Fast - Smartmoney Magazine Up to 84% of home buyers start their search online, according to the National Association of Realtors. Indeed, the Web has become such an important marketing tool that all the realtors we spoke with encourage their clients to hire a professional photographer, which can cost as little as $100, for their online snapshots. Think of it this way: If someone doesn't like how your home looks on the Web, he or she won't bother to make an appointment to see the property in person. Is that a risk you're willing to take?
